In the time I have been a photographer, I have created this document to answer some of my most common questions.
The investment page reflects pricing for my basic portrait photography. Weddings, boudoir and newborns have a different price sheet for various reasons. The main reason: time. Each of these sessions require a great deal of time in set up, execution, and post processing. I am more than happy to set up a free consultation to go over my price sheet for these types of sessions if you contact me.
I am focused on delivering art pieces you want to display on the walls of your home and not just the walls of social media. Due to this focus, my sessions have a one hour minimum and include an in-person reveal after your session. I understand that photography is a luxury heirloom and am more than happy to assist in wardrobe consultations or connecting you with my trusted hair and makeup providers. Please arrive to your session at least 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time to go over your contract and pay any remaining balances.
Please note, my camera is coin operated (kidding,) it does not shoot until your balance is paid in full. Please contact me if you will have any trouble paying the balance of your session before the shoot. You may pay with cash or through PayPal using a card, even if you don’t have an account. Payment plans are available, please let me know if you need me to set it up as one.
Location selection is your choice. I am more than happy to assist you in finding a location that suits your session needs. Please note, any location outside of a 25 mile radius from Texas City, TX will require an additional fee. Also, I will not shoot on private property without express permission from the owner. Venues that require a photography pass or any other charge to shoot will be handled on a case by case basis and may be added to your session cost.
A 40% deposit is required at time of booking to hold your date and time. This is invoiced through PayPal and your date is not held until it is paid. Once paid, you have 48 hours to cancel for a full refund. After 48 hours, you will get half of your deposit back upon cancellation until 72 hours prior to your scheduled session. Any cancellations within 72 hours will not be refunded. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis or if I cancel your session for any reason.
I allow all of my clients to download their pictures to share on social media. *Serious face, monotone voice* In order to protect the integrity of my work, these images are watermarked and optimized for smaller screens. This means, they do not print well above 3×5 and any attempt to remove the watermark diminishes that quality further. These images are my intellectual property and protected by the Copyright Act of 1976. Any attempt to edit, crop, print, copy, or claim any images containing metadata from my equipment without express written permission is a violation of this law. *Back to me* Basically, just ask me before you change the pictures. If you’d like high-resolution downloads to print yourself, there is a print release available for purchase.
I do not require my clients to have their photos printed with me. However, I do have access to the most trusted names in professional photo printing which have teams of experts to make sure your pictures are top quality heirloom pieces. As I stated before, printing can only be done with a proper print release purchased from me. Nothing is more embarrassing than going to pick up your prints from Walgreens (shudder) and them saying you need proof of print release to pick them up.
I will be adding to this as more questions get asked. 🙂
